White Winter Wedding

You are in a good company

White Winter Wedding Flowers

We stylised this December wedding with beautiful winter blooms in white, pale yellows and greens palette, with chrysanthemums, roses, carnations and eucalyptus, beautifully arranged on large round tables in the picturesque One Great George Street Ballroom.

Our first point of contact with the bride was through email, when we received a brief that included several Pintrest pictures and a very thorough description of the bride’s likes and dislikes. Least to say, we were quite impressed with the beautiful choice of the photography! After a quick phone call we decided to meet up in a cafe to discuss the floral decorations in details for this winter wedding! And we must say here, nothing beats a good cup of coffee during a good old brainstorming session 🙂

The bride’s focus was on monochromatic look of the flower arrangements. We were told to avoid using any colours and to pay attention to whites and blacks only (as the celebration was indeed a very formal black and white wedding). That gave us a lot of information and inspiration to create unique flower arrangements. After our research we proposed the use of chrysanthemums (here we’re seeing two beautiful winter varieties, including a British grown pom pom chrysanthemum), the always fashionable roses, ranunculi, anemones, carnations and eucalyptus.

What we are seeing in above pictures is the result of our collaboration with the bride, thorough research and sourcing of the gold effect mirrored vases, complementing tealights and, of course, a selection of flowers sourced from local growers for this winter wedding.

Liz’s Winter Wedding

You are in a good company

Winter Wedding Flowers

We clearly remember our first encounter with Liz, who electrified us with her smile and a mind open to recommendations. After an initial online consultation, we quickly got down to the design phase of her floral wedding decorations including wedding bouquet, her bridal party flowers, buttonholes and centrepieces.

Not all jobs are created equal. Some brides and grooms come to us with a clear vision of their wedding flowers, others have a concept that’s not yet clarified. Liz was in between the two. We got on so well together, that after our first chat she gave us a leeway to design her florals the way we saw her – full of energy, passion and love. So we quickly grabbed a pen, did a few sketches, pulled a few drawings and showed her our concept – wedding bouquet with greens, bridesmaid’s bouquets that look like her, large flower centrepieces that fill the venue with beautiful fragrance… We nailed it. In her own words: “(they) emailed me back very soon after I got in touch enquiring about the wedding flowers, and after an excellent and detailed Skype call, they had sketched out the perfect idea. When they came to the apartment to deliver the bridal party bouquets, we were blown over by how beautiful they all were – they way exceeded our expectations. Then going to the church and seeing the stunning pedestals, to the most incredible centrepieces that just made the whole wedding so special. We can’t thank you enough!”. Indeed, her feedback made our day 🙂

All Liz’s wedding flowers were light, airy, featured beautiful eucalyptus and pastel blooms. Moreover, the flower crown and buttonholes had a romantic feel thanks to soft textures achieved with ferns and scabiosas. Finally, all flowers were complimented with hand-painted silk ribbons that wrapped the blooms beautifully together.

Autumn Wedding Bouquet and Buttonholes

Autumn Wedding Bouquet Close Up

You are in a good company

Autumn Flowers

Our bride’s dream was to have a natural looking autumn wedding bouquet, bridesmaids’ bouquets and matching buttonholes.

As the pictures show, there’s no job small or big for us. We have learnt that every wedding tells a different story – sometimes it’s a small and casual gathering, next weekend we are working on a big event. This time we were asked to deliver a few floral arrangements for a small and intimate ceremony and reception. Our inspiration was the autumn look, the faded colours of this time of the year and our interpretation of an autumn wedding bouquet, to be precise. Our style is quite visible in these few arrangements. Esther is a happy person, and her beauty radiated from her every moment we saw her. We are certain these bouquets and buttonholes beautifully complimented her vow exchange, the first kiss and the first smile as a married couple.

We chose locally sourced flowers, available from one of our favourite vendors. We found the best in each of the blooms, paired it with a few friends, gave them all a lot of love and care and bound them together with satin ribbons, for that extra luxury feel.

One can admire here effects of a quick and effective collaboration phase, followed by selection of the best flowers available in stock from local sellers, and our experience to produce wedding bouquet, bridesmaids’ bouquets and buttonholes of luxury look, feel and touch.

Crowne Plaza Wedding

Clematis, red David Austin roses, pink perfumed roses, purple and pink clematis, lavender spray roses, deep purple scabiosas and cotinus

You are in a good company

Wedding Flowers Photoshoot

This was quite an interesting brief: we received a phone from a lovely lady, quickly met up in the hotel and within 5 minutes we finalised the idea. We were quite surprised, too! A wedding flowers photoshoot in making! In 3 weeks!

The beautiful Crowne Plaza hotel is situated not far from our studio in Battersea, right by the river. Its views are quite spectacular! Not often does one see the Chelsea Helipad at one’s feet, river Thames in front of you and yet, you’re inside of a quiet and very luxurious hotel. The wedding rooms were quite large and needed a lot of flowers to wow in pictures. So we did what we loved the most – picked from the rich and dark colours, paired them with different hues, shades and pastels of greens, added a spruce of mint and rose here and there… And so the concept was formed – modern bride that loves garden flowers and enjoys her London wedding in a serene location by the river will get the look she wants.

The large candelabras stand proud in the middle of the tables and invite the guests to sit down and enjoy their wedding dinner. All arrangements have a garden feel and smelled beautifully across the whole venue – with sweet and perfumed garden roses and mints. What’s more to love? The hotel wedding planners were amazed – and us? Proud as always and happy to see our clients smile 🙂

Emma & Jake’s Horniman Museum Wedding

Protea and Eucalyptus Wedding Bouquet

You are in a good company

Horniman Museum Wedding Ceremony & Bethnal Green Town Hall Reception

It was a Saturday morning, a sunny and warm day, when we met up with for the first time with the bride in the Horniman Museum. Emma electrified us with her choice of the venue, the gorgeous greenhouse in the picturesque park in the south of London. What a stunning location for a wedding it was, we thought!

The gardens and the wedding greenhouse are a gem of South London. Without a doubt, the Grade II listed conservatory is one of most favourite wedding venues for London couples.

During our meet up, Emma described to us the perfect setup and decorations of the venue. The unusual building, its pastel coloured flooring and the vintage chairs should subtly complement the foliage aisle decorations and the copper floral arch. We proposed to use exotic flowers and greenery for all floral decorations in the Horniman Museum. After the ceremony, the wedding couple headed to Bethnal Green Town Hall to continue their wedding celebrations. There, upon the wish of Emma, we built a eucalyptus and succulents table runner, and complimented the decoration with papyrus and palm trees.

The floral arch hosted the wedding couple during the service, while the eucalyptus aisle decorations invited the guests to enjoy the celebration. The wedding bouquet and bridesmaids’ bouquet complemented the Horniman Museum’s look – grand but relaxed, Victorian but modern.

Meanwhile, the groom and his best men carried buttonholes made with exotic foliage, while enjoying the Bethnal Green Town Hall wedding venue decorations. What a day, and what a couple! 🙂
